About the InstructorShawn Gallagher, BA, BCH, is a Board Certified Hypnotherapist (National Guild of Hypnotists) with advanced training in Emergency Hypnosis and Pain Management. Shawn is an associate with the Ontario Hypnosis Centre, a teaching and clinical facility in Toronto.Shawn retired from active midwifery practice in 1999 to provide hypnosis. She attended over 500 births in the home, hospital and birthing clinic settings over thirteen years while also teaching prenatal classes. Her experience provides a unique and reassuring method of childbirth preparation for expecting parents with the ChildbirthJoy Prenatal Hypnosis series. Shawn continues to teach the ChildbirthJoy Prenatal Hypnosis series that she founded in 1999 and has taught many hundreds of women and their partners how to create an easier birth.
