Frequently Asked Questions

for the ChildbirthJoy Prenatal Hypnosis Series

Is the entire course completed online?

Three online evenings are two hours each (total is six hours). These are recorded and available for your use usually the next day.

The weekend is also online - usually 10 am to 1 pm, or 2 to 5 pm on sequential Saturdays.

When is the best time to complete the series?

In general, the earlier you complete the series, the better. Most women find that allowing themselves time to practice their hypnosis seems to be associated with a more comfortable birth.

Most women do the series somewhere between 20 and 32 weeks. You are considered "term" or at your due date as of 37 completed weeks of pregnancy. This means that a birth at 37 completed weeks is not considered premature or pre-term.

ALSO...classes can book up quickly - remember that you can register now and hold your space for the series you prefer. Once you register, you will receive your materials so that you can practice before the first class.

Will I remember everything if I take the course earlier?

In the ChildbirthJoy Prenatal Hypnosis Series, you will learn self-hypnosis and how you and your partner can hypnotize each other.

You won't forget how to do hypnosis - your skills will get better with practice.

What if my partner cannot make all of the hours of the series?

You and your partner will benefit from learning together, but if there are parts of the series that your partner cannot attend, the recorded class is available later for viewing.

If your partner is out of town, it is easy to attend the class - all that is needed is a device with a microphone and camera (most mobile phones work for this).

Of course, I'm the teacher, so if you ask me, everything taught through the entire series is important...but if I had to choose, I'd say that the most important material for your partner is on the last in-person class.

What if my partner cannot make ANY of the series?

If your partner cannot attend at all, you are encouraged to bring someone else...especially anyone who will be at your birth.

In past series, clients have brought a sister, mother, friend or doula.

I took the ChildbirthJoy Prenatal Hypnosis series already and now I am expecting again. Are there refresher classes?

Yes, refresher classes are provided when two or more couples are interested, just let me know.

Clients who have previously taken the series usually have the materials from their course previously, so your course fee is reduced by the cost of the materials - instead of $397, it is $210 (plus hst).

Do you sell your materials separately?

At present, I am not selling the materials outside of the prenatal series.

The Pregnancy Relaxation mp3 is available for download - go to the homepage and enter your email and you will receive the link for the download page.
